I just wanted to take some time to share with everyone about how are youth group is growing! It's so exciting to see each of you invite your friends to join us every Wednesday night. I hope you continue to do so. As many of you may or may not know we are in the midst of our Bring a Friend Competition at F5. Since we have started it we have seen 10 first time visitors attend and several students come back that haven't been in a while. We have been averaging 30 or more a week! I know we will continue to build off this momentum. Know that God's plan for this youth group is only beginning. All of those that are involved in some type of ministry of our group should realize this. Your jobs are getting harder because there are more students there each week. We are fulfilling are mission to reach the lost teenagers in our community and God is pleased!

Remember our competition will go until the end of the school year so if you feel you are too far behind know that you are not. All it takes is for you to get 1 or 2 first time visitors to attend and you can catch up very quickly. I know you all have at least one person you could invite. Also don't forget about these upcoming events happening this Summer!

1. Lifest: Thursday, July 8 2010

2. If you don't already know our F-5 Team competitions have already begun. I wanted to write this blog and inform everyone of how the competitions are working. So here goes!

First, I want to inform everyone of the team breakdown. I want to thank Pastor Erika and her husband for investing their time in this youth ministry. I know that many of you miss them and had a hard time with their moving on. We pray that in time we will be able to establish the same relationship many of you had with them. There are so many plans in motion for the future of this youth group. This summer is going to be AWESOME!!! We have some great events on our Calendar that you must be a part of!!! Here is a list of just a few:

Lifest Concert more info

Spencer Lake Junior & Senior HighYouth Camps more info

Faith Night Concert/TimbeRattlers Game Featuring Hawk Nelson

Summer Team Competitions All Summer Long!!!!

These are just a few events there are more being planned as I type. For those of you interested in going to Camp this year know that we are planning fundraisers for it as well. I know camp seems to be expensive but you will find it is well worth it. I encourage everyone to go and begin raising money so that you can pay your own way. I sure many of you have neibors who need odd jobs done around their yards that they would be willing to pay you to DO. Also many of you have family members that would sponsor you to got to camp, JUST ASK THEM! Grandparents love sending their grandchildren to camp!!!! There are other ways ot raise money such as: recycle aluminum cans, get a summer job for a farmer (picking stones or bailing hay), cutting grass, trimming weeds and so many more!!!! Camp is amazing DON'T MISS OUT THIS YEAR!!!! Ok that's all for now!!! See you all at F-5 on Wednedsday nights at 6:45!!! You are all Amazing People!

He don't forget to check out our website at: www.i-fwc.com/f5

God & Try Part 2

Well it's almost the end of the month so I figure I better get this blog in before it's over! God Bless all of you as I hope you are doing well!

Last month we talked about the first part of the phrase that I like to use "God & Try" This week I am going to talk about the second part of this phrase which is "Try"

When I see the word "Try" I think of doing something that you are scared of, for the first time. I think back when I was a little kid and I was scared to meet new people or make new friends. I remember the words my mom and dad would always tell me when they would try to get me to go meet them. They would say, "Now Phillip Lee Krueger it doesn't hurt to give it a try!" Looking back, I think my parents were just trying to get rid of me holding on to their leg and cowering in fear because I was scared to meet these strange and weird people. As always my parents were right I met these new people, got to know them, and had fun playing with them.

Think about your life for a second. What things are you scared to do. Our world is full of fear. The devil throws things at us constantly. But God calls us to not live in fear when he says:

"For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." -Isaiah 41:13

So what does "Try" mean in our phrase. It means do not live in fear! It means conquer each day as if it were your last! It means don't let silly things get you down or angry! It means have the joy of the Lord in your life! It means Let Your light shine before everyone! It means don't give up! It means press on towards that goal! It means LIVE! I believe that's what God wants from his people. That is why we are put on this earth.

Know this, we only have a short time here. Some of us could be gone in the next second. What will you do with the time God has given you. Will you let it frit away. Will you become chafe in the wind. Or will You TRY to do what God has called all of us to do with our lives. LIVE and be an example of Jesus Christ to this world. AMEN!

God Bless you all and thanks for reading. Until next month remember these two words: "God and Try"

Pastor Phil

God & Try Part 1

Hello again everyone! I trust all is well with you all! My blog will continue again this month! I took a break last month and I am sorry for that! Hey, I want to talk to each of you about the two words that can change your life! They are "God & Try"! Some of you may have heard me mention them and wonder what they are about! Well, actually it's rather simple.

Let's break it down:
This month we will examine the first word which is God! If you make Him a part of your life their is NO END TO THE POSSIBLITIES!!! He can change your life. He has a plan for each one of us whether we believe it or not! My favorite scripture is Jermiah 29:11 which reads:

"I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you...plans to give you a hope and a future."

You see God has plans for each one of us! You are living those plans out right NOW!!! God wants you to make him a part of your life because His plans for you are greater then you can imagine! Some of you might ask, "What are those plans?"

Well, the only way to find out is to make Him a part of your life and let those plans begin to carry out. Jeremiah 29:11 says he plans to give us a "hope" and a "future". This means that we don't have to worry about our future because God has great things in store for us! If you are reading this today and you want to make God a part of your life, just ask Him into your life! It's that simple! OF Course that's not all but it's the START of something GREAT!!! The rest can be figured out by asking your nearest Pastor or Me! I would love to sit down with you and help you grow closer to God!

If you already allow God to be a part of your life know that He has more in store for you!!! Continue to read the Bible, spend time in prayer to Him, and serve Him and others and you will begin to see His plan for your life unflold before your eyes. You will see doors open that never opened before. You will see a REAL, RELAVENT change in your life!!

Well that's all for this month! Thanks for reading! Know that I am praying for each and everyone of you and I believe in YOU!!

God Bless
Pastor Phil

Will You Answer the Call?

Hello Everyone! I going to try to be diligent and publish a blog once a month. I want eveyone to know something! You are all AWESOME! God has created all of you for a reason. He has put you on this earth and He has a calling for each of of you! The question you need to answer is, "Will I answer the Call?" My hope and prayer for each of you is that you will! I believe that God's calling on our lives is too strong to resist. If you are resisting it, You know it! There is something inside of you that is telling you that you are not right. You feel like you should be doing more. You feel like you are not doing what you are supposed to be doing. You feel like you are missing out on something great! If this is you then you need to find some alone time with JC. You need to ask Him "What's up?" and "What should I do?" He will give you wisdom and show you His way but you have to be willing to listen. Many of you have important decisions that need to be made. You are struggling with things and wonder what you should do. I want you to know that God has the answers for you. Trust in Him! Put your faith in Him! I guarantee you will not be dissapointed! He loves you and so do everyone at The Path Youth Group. Please know we all believe in you and pray for you! Remember that we are on your team. We are here for you whenever your need us. I believe the Holy Spirit has led me to write this blog because someone needs to hear it. I hope that if this is you, You will follow through with His Calling on your life. God Bless You All!!!!

My First Blog!

Hello Everyone,
This is my first Blog ever!!!!!! I am writing this for our youth website. I just want to talk a little about our Youth Ministry. We have a great one! I am very excited about it's future. God has brought many youth to it from many different backrounds and I believe (and know!), He has great plans for the future. I want everyone to know that despite what you may think God has a special plan for your future. I believe he has a special plan for you, in this youth ministry, as well. I have enjoyed getting to know all of you. Over this last year, I have seen many of your talents and interests take shape. The key, I believe is using them for the Lord! We have to ask ourselves, "How does God want me to use the talents HE has blessed me with for Him?". When we start doing this there is no end to the possibilities. God wants to use you! Are you willing to be used by Him? So many of us think, "My talents can't be used for the Lord." I want you to know this is the Devil trying to decieve you. I think in my own life how God is using my talents. I am not a man of many talents, but I have some. One of my talents is I am an athlete (not a great one), I love sports; playing them, watching them and being invovled in them in any way. I use this talent in many ways for the Lord. In the last two years I have been invovled in coaching on some level. When I was in Beloit I coached a 7th & 8th grade basketball team (we didn't win a game all season!). Last year I helped coach the 4th & 5th grade team here in Wautoma. Doing this has opened many doors for ministry for me. I have been able to meet many community members in this town. They have been able to get to know me and what I believe in. Building these types of relationship are key to a strong ministry in my field of Youth and Children. Also, because I am an athlete I have been able to play basketball with some of the high schoolers through hosting open gym nights at our church. I was able to meet and minister to so many students through these open gym nights. I am using something I love to do for the Lord. What a great thing! Well, this blog is starting to get long, so I am going to end it. If anyone has any comments to add I would love to hear them. You guys are great! One of my college professers said something to us about youth ministry that has always stuck with me. He told us to tell it to our youth, so that's what I'm doing. He said, "There are two words that will change your life forever: God and Try.
